Remembering Charles Burton

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Charles Burton, who died on Tuesday 10 February. Charles was a much-loved member of Rose Court Chambers and a highly respected figure at the Criminal Bar.
Charles embodied the finest traditions of the profession. He was known not only for his considerable ability as an advocate, but also for his leadership, generosity, kindness and unwavering commitment to the Bar. His presence in Chambers and in court was unmistakable, and he brought both professionalism and character to everything he did.

Throughout his career, Charles formed lasting friendships and professional relationships across the Criminal Bar. He will be remembered by colleagues, solicitors and clients alike for his warmth, integrity and distinctive character.
As a founding member of Rose Court Chambers, Charles played a central role in the development of Chambers and made an immense contribution to its culture and success. His dedication to Chambers and to the profession more widely will never be forgotten.
He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of working with him, and his legacy will remain an important part of Rose Court Chambers for many years to come.
