Callum Ratcliffe is an experienced First Junior Clerk who has worked in criminal clerking since 2014. Over eleven years he has developed strong knowledge of courtroom procedure, diary management and the administration needed to support a busy, high performing criminal set. Callum works closely with solicitors, the CPS and members of chambers, ensuring every enquiry is handled promptly and professionally. His calm manner, strong organisational skills and commitment to high quality service make him an essential part of the clerking team. Callum met both Joel and Leon early in his career and has continued to build on the guidance and experience gained from working with them.

Education and Background


Callum began his clerking career in 2014 at Furnival Chambers, then joined 187 Fleet Street, and later returned to Furnival Chambers in 2018. He joined Rose Court Chambers as part of the founding clerking team. He has completed the Bar Council’s Public Access Course for clerks, enabling him to support members with Public Access instructions. Callum also provides out-of-hours support, coordinating urgent requests and ensuring counsel is available for court cover when required.
