First Junior Clerk

We are inviting applications for Probationary Tenancy from barristers who have recently completed pupillage and are ready to establish their practice within a committed and supportive criminal set. This placement offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation in advocacy while gaining exposure to a wide range of serious and complex cases. You will receive close support from our clerking team, regular courtroom experience and a professional environment designed to help you transition confidently into full tenancy.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of pupillage
• Strong advocacy ability and developing courtroom experience
• A clear interest in criminal practice
• Professionalism, reliability and sound judgement
• Ability to manage a growing caseload
• Good communication skills and a positive approach to chambers life
• Willingness to contribute to the wider work and ethos of chambers
