Robert is a highly experienced criminal advocate with a long-standing Crown Court practice focused on the defence of serious and complex criminal allegations. He qualified as the youngest solicitor-advocate in the UK in 2006 and practised exclusively in the Crown Court from 2007, giving him a depth of experience beyond his years before cross-qualifying to the Bar in 2016,. Robert continues to develop a busy defence practice alongside a growing prosecution practice; he currently prosecutes at CPS Grade 3 and is on the RASSO panel.
This prosecutorial experience provides valuable insight into case strategy, disclosure issues, and evidential decision-making, which he deploys to significant effect when defending clients. Robert is known as an approachable, hardworking, and committed advocate who listens carefully to clients to fully understand their cases. Instructing solicitors value his calm authority, meticulous preparation, and ability to manage long, document-heavy, and emotionally charged trials with confidence and clarity.
