Professional Profile

Daniel is a pupil barrister at Rose Court Chambers, with experience across criminal law, public law, and litigation support.

Before commencing pupillage, Daniel obtained his LLB from Brunel University London, where he demonstrated strong advocacy and academic ability. He reached the finals of the Brunel Law Society Mooting Competition, held at the Supreme Court. He was awarded Student Employee of the Year for his work on the Diversity in the Curriculum project.

During his degree, Daniel spent a year at the Home Office as a Litigation Caseworker, drafting responses to pre-action correspondence and assisting with the management of judicial review claims. In his final year, he volunteered with Support Through Court, providing practical assistance to litigants in person in Family Law proceedings.

Following a short period at the Department for Work and Pensions as a Work Coach, Daniel joined the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) as a Case Progression Manager. He completed the Bar Practice Course (BPC) at the University of Law on a part-time basis while continuing to work full-time. Daniel later progressed to a Paralegal Officer role within the CPS Trial Preparation Team, before moving to the London RASSO Unit, where he managed a demanding caseload involving serious sexual offences. Many of the cases he assisted with attracted national media attention.

During pupillage, Daniel is keen to gain experience across all areas of Chambers’ criminal defence practice, with a particular interest in Crown Court advocacy, trial preparation, and defence work. He brings a strong understanding of prosecution decision-making, case strategy, and procedure, which he applies diligently and professionally.
